Object of the Legion of Mary: The Main object of the Legionaries is the sanctification of themselves by prayer and active co-operation in apostolic work specially that of evangelization. Legionaries work zealously to share the good news with others and they also dedicate themselves to serve the poor, sick, afflicted, forgotten and unwanted ones.

Our Lady of Lourdes Curia:
Our Lady of Lourdes Curia is actively functioning in our parish under the guidance of Msgr.A.Jayanathan Parish priest and spiritual director. The curia is directly affiliated to Karnataka Senatus. It has three praesidae they are
1.Our Lady of Lourdes presidium
2.Amalorpava Annai presidium
3. Arokia Annai presidium. We have an English presidium named Our lady of Divine Mercy presidium which is directly affiliated to Karnataka Senatus and a kannada presidium named Parama Prasada Thay affiliated to T.C playa Kannada Curia.

Parish activities: Legionaries attached to parish visit homes and contact lapsed Catholics and regularize marriages, visit hospitals, Legionaries help in various church activities like conducting weekly rosaries and motivating others to take part in Marian devotion, Devotion to Sacred heart of Jesus and praying every Friday, taking part in every day mass and praying for different intentions, praying divine mercy chaplet, participating arranging children for catechism, help in the various functions, at major festivals of the parish, collection during masses and heading October and May rosary devotion.

Visitation of homes: This is one of the most important Legion activities it gives the Legionaries, the opportunity of making friendly contacts with the people who are under the impression that they had been abandoned by their family members. In case of Catholic families, Legionary will get an opportunity to help in their spiritual needs and in case of non-Catholic homes, they can speak about faith to them.

Visitation of hospitals and institutions: They visit all the Hospitals, all private nursing homes and Polyclinics. Institutions for Home for the aged, Anatha ashram, Friend-in-need society are regularly visited. Prayers are said by the bed side of the sick people, Catholic literature and pious articles are distributed to them.

Devotions to holy rosary: Devotion to the Holy Rosary is practiced regularly by the legionaries under the guidance of our parish priest Msgr.Jayanathan rosary is conducted at grotto regularly by the legionaries in different languages on Fridays in Tamil, Saturdays in English and Tuesdays in Kannada. Block Rosary, crusades, Sagaya Maatha navanaal which are followed in the certain localities are conducted by spiritual readings and singing of hymns.

Vocations: A remarkable feature of the legion’s success is the constant and continues reports of junior members joining the seminaries and religious houses to become priests and nuns.
